We all love the adorable and bubbly Ayesha Takia that we know from Socha Na Tha, Wanted. But she doesn’t look like that anymore. After marriage, she has gone through some intense transformation, and we are at a loss of words.

Amidst the rumours that Ayesha will soon be making a comeback on screen, paparazzi spotted her at event. The pictures do no justice to the beauty that Ayesha was. We cannot understand what must have been the reasons for the actress to go through such intense changes in her appearance. In her latest pics, the actress’s lips look fuller than before.

 

There are murmurs that Ayesha is in talks with two production houses for two projects that will start taking shape very soon. She has also shot for a music video for Amit Mishra in December 2016, and it will be out soon. This will be the first time we will see Ayesha on screen after her marriage. “We had to convince Ayesha a lot. She’s reluctant about taking up acting offers because she wants to do something substantial. She’s a mother now and that comes first for her. She probably agreed to feature in our video because it was just a two-day shoot in Mumbai,” director of the music video, Lovely Singh, said while talking to TOI.

Actor Akshay Kumar says the business aspect of a film doesn't interest him much, as he has made enough money and now wants to focus on content and character. Akshay has delivered back to back hits like 'Rustom', 'Housefull 3', 'Airlift' and 'Singh Is Bliing'.

"For me the love of my audience is more important than the business. I think I have earned enough money. It is also important to get the right script, character, director and studio. It was my first experience with them and I would want to do more films for them," Akshay told reporters during a press conference to mark the success 'Jolly LLB 2'.

'Jolly LLB 2', sequel to the 2013 hit film of the same name had Akshay playing the role of a lawyer and he says for his role he was fully dependent on director Subhash Kapoor.

"I have never dealt with lawyers, as I never got into in any legal trouble. Subhash Kapoor (director) explained to me everything because he was a political journalist before turning a director. So, he had covered cases and knew how it works. I have never been inside a court."

Despite delivering hit films one after the other the 49-year-old star doesn't think he understands the mindset of the audience. "I don't think I have managed to catch audience's pulse... it is just a phase and your hard work pays off eventually. Many people make good films but they don't do well. But they always think that they are making 'Mughal-e Azam' or 'Pakeezaah'. But it does not happen... some films work, sometimes it doesn't."

Appreciating the work of his co-stars Saurabh Shukla and Annu Kapoor, Akshay says the sequel has done well primarily because of the team work. "I think what has helped this film is team work and screenplay. Saurabh Shukla, Annu Kapoor, they are the biggest pillars of the film. Huma Qureshi and Sayani Gupta have also done a wonderful job. I got to learn many things from Saurabh and Annu ji.

"I always used to crack this joke on the sets that Subhash has got six actors from NSD and four actors from FTII and I am the only one who is from Khalsa College."

Pic: Kareena Kapoor Khan is back on sets after her pregnancy

If the last few months have proved anything, it is thatKareena Kapoor Khan is unstoppable. The actress, who became a proud mother to Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi in December last year, was on her toes throughout her pregnancy. And now, two months after the birth of her baby boy, Kareenais right where she belongs - on the sets.

Yes, you read that right! The newest mommy on the block was spotted at Mehboob Studios in Bandra, Mumbai yesterday as she shot for a campaign for a jewellery brand. Dressed casually in an olive-green tee and black jeggings, Kareena looked radiant. The actress even posed with her entire team to mark her first shoot post her pregnancy.

Much like during her pregnancy, Kareena has been out and about after giving birth to Taimur. The actress even turned showstopper at the grand finale of a recent fashion extravaganza in Mumbai. Now that she has begun shooting for her endorsements, guess we'll see more of Bebo! And those who have been missing Kareena on the big screen need not fret - she has confirmed that she will kick-start the shoot of 'Veere Di Wedding' in May. '

LOVE IN THE TIME OF WAR

RANGOON STORY: The film is a war-romance set in pre-independent India. As is known, there were differing strands in the movement. Mahatma Gandhi adopted ahimsa to get freedom; Subhash Chandra Bose was the force behind the Indian National Army that got on the front foot to boot the enemy out. Even as this strife played out, Julia (Kangana), the daredevil actress of the 40's ruled hearts. Closer home, her married producer Russi Billimoria (Saif) is besotted with her and at the border, Jamadar Nawab Malik (Shahid) loves her to death.

RANGOON REVIEW: Rangoon is an ambitious attempt to actually tell a triangular love story against the backdrop of war. The canvas is huge. Pankaj Kumar’s cinematography is exquisite. The narrative that marries Casablanca (1942) to Chicago (2002) — wish the music here was peppier — plays out interestingly in parts. You have grim war-scenes fading out to allow some naach-gaana. Then there is a good measure of romance thrown in, albeit without the fire. Also there is also an infiltrator angle that allows for intrigue. Bhardwaj, whose repertoire includes truly-fine works like Maqbool, Omkara, and Haider delivers, but not entirely. Some frames just hang, some scenes feel tedious. In his attempt to pack in too much on war, love and deceit, the maker ends up with some haphazard division of war scenes versus love games, leaving the viewer muddled.

Saif gives his movie-entrepreneur act a razor-sharp quality. And, Shahid is outstanding. Kangana of course is the piece de resistance. You can believe that two men would cross swords for her. While she is a child-woman or “kiddo” to the sophisticated Rusi, who treats her like an expensive buy, she becomes the heartbeat of the patriotic Nawab, who loves her spirited side. However, as pointed out earlier on, though the love scenes are written well and aesthetically shot, they lack passion. The multiple lip-locks between Shahid and Kangana don’t ignite flames.

There’s a dialogue in the film where Saif tells a British officer, “We’re actors, we know how to convince people.” That isn’t entirely true here. Borrowing Julia’s oft-repeated phrase, “Bloody hell’, one wishes these three had truly dropped their guard. It would’ve certainly added more rang to this movie extravaganza.
